Family Tree Maker 2008 -Is there a decent manual?

I ordered from the publisher and the package included a cheesy little book on how to do genealogy. I called to ask if there is a manual and they said only by paying another $20+. Can you believe it, they seem to be selling the software as a loss leader for their website. Has anyone bought the manual or is there a way to download it? Is it any good? How detailed is it or is the index? BTW, I am not talking about the little help questions built into the software which I assume tell you little you can’t figure out yourself.

Unfortunately, I believe these people have a real doggy program on their hands. Up to FTM16, they had great report capabilities, then they seem to have dumped this important feature. Possibly so all report functions will have to go through them. It supposedly has nice search functions, and the only person I’ve met who uses it, does all the hard work with FTM16 and the searches with FTM2008.

But no one I know likes it.

I’d hold off on laying out any more money until they train the dog to do some decent tricks.
