Tree maker 2006 or 2008?

I had the family tree maker 2006 worth the upgrade to version 2008?

2008 is, unfortunately for the future – will not be able to update the software in 2006, I personally think that 2008 is is silly, but I have it on my machine. I always date, see 2006, then every two months and since 2008. update, but be 2006.
